The mission of the Local Action Group Association „Clisura Dunării„ is the sustainable and integrated development of the microregion, a development based on tourism, conservation of the natural environment, revival of local traditions, and the promotion and consumption of local products. ”

The Vision of the Clisura Dunării Microregion for 2020

The Clisura Dunării Microregion  is a TOURIST AREA integrated into Romanian tourism, a network hub of European tourism. Tourists stop in recreational ports or traverse Clisura on arranged routes to participate in Traditional Product Fairs, Local Cultural Festivals, and visit Historical Monuments.

Every resident (household) has a business related to tourism or works in services specific to and adjacent to tourism. The homes of locals are organized and arranged to accommodate tourists.

The microregion is organized as a LEADER territory, offering youth an Education in Traditions and the Preservation of Local Identity, providing Education specific to local trades. It has the infrastructure, utilities, and services developed for the main activity of the region – TOURISM.
